Adipurush was released in theatres last week but the much-anticipated mythological drama was met with poor reviews. The movie has also been excessively trolled online with people even trending a call to ban it in India. It is now said that the makers of Adipurush are working on a redubbed version of the movie with new dialogues, which is set to release in the next three days.
Redubbed Adipurush in the works
Adipurush is reportedly getting redubbed following public outcry over the dialogues in the movie. The reworking has already begun with the concerned actors in the studio for their respective parts, according to a report by Times of India. The rewriting of the movie is over, and a large part of the rework was also completed yesterday, the report added.
It looks like the filmmakers are in a rush to rectify their mistakes, as the reworked version of Adipurush is reportedly releasing in theatres in the next three days. There’s no official confirmation on the same though. Also, a situation like this is very new and unlikely so we’re not sure if there will indeed be a revamped Adipurush, and how soon would it hit theatres.
Adipurush has so far received negative reviews from film critics. The movie has also landed itself into a controversy with people complaining about the negative portrayal of Hindu gods. Adipurush is based on the Hindu Mythological epic Ramayana. The movie depicts the story of Lord Ram, played by Prabhas, who journeys to Lanka with Lord Hanuman and his army to rescue Goddess Sita (Kriti Sanon) from Ravana, portrayed by Saif Ali Khan. But despite the negative reviews, Adipurush is winning at the box office with Rs 340 crore earned so far.
This is also not the first time that Adipurush has invited public outcry as its first teaser released last year received some major backlash for poor VFX. The filmmakers even had to postpone the release date from January 2023 to June 2023 after asking for more time to work on the film.
