Adah Sharma shares video of her praying in a temple on birthday, thanks fans for support: ‘The secret of my energy’

Adah Sharma started off her birthday on May 11 with a visit to the temple, where she was seen praying. The actor turned 31. She thanked fans for all their support of the success of her film, The Kerala Story, and shared that the visit contained the ‘secret’ to her energy amidst calls to ban the film in a few states. Fans on Instagram wished her a happy birthday and praised her performance in the film. Earlier on Thursday, Adah wrote on Instagram, “The secret of my energy. The energy that allows me to accept bouquets and face bans. Thank you all of you for making me yours. #shivtandav #shivtandavstrotam #adahsharma.” The actor is dressed in a yellow and white salwar kurta in the video shared by her. Sitting on the ground, she is seen chanting prayers next to a lingam.

The comments section was also filled with praises for the actor after her turn in The Kerala Story. One fan shared, “We need more actors like you, Jai Bholenaath.” Another stated, “The kind of energy I always need in my life! I wish my daughter to be just like you in future.” Her co-star Sonia Balani commented, “shall always remember the one we did in the college..it was magical.”

Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story was released on May 5. It also stars Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Balani. The film has already grossed ₹68.86 crore at the domestic box office after six days. On Wednesday, the actor was seen with director Sudipto and producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah in Lucknow to meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The film was declared tax-free in the state.

Adah made her film debut with Vikram Bhatt’s 1920 in 2009. She has also acted in the films Hasee Toh Phasee, Commando 2 and Commando 3, and worked in the Telugu, Tamil and Kannada film industries. Prior to The Kerala Story, she had a special appearance in the Akshay Kumar-starrer Selfiee earlier this year.
