Actor Harish Pengan, 48, passes away in Kochi
KOCHI: Actor Harish Pengan, who was part of hit films, including Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Jo & Jo, passed away in Kochi on Tuesday. He was 48.
Harish was undergoing treatment for liver ailment at a private hospital, where he breathed his last. He was hospitalised following stomach pain on April 28. After detecting severe kidney ailment, his twin sister Sreeja came forward to donate her kidney.
Following huge hospital expenses, estimated to the tune of Rs 35-40 lakh, his friends appealed for financial aid for the actor through social media platforms.
Noted for his role in Maheshinte Prathikaram, his other movies include Shafeekinte Santhosham, Minnal Murali, Honey Bee 2.5, Vellaripattanam and Jan.E. Man. Harish is survived by wife and two children. The cremation will be held on the premises of his residence at Nedumbassery at 3pm on Wednesday.
