Aaliya Siddiqui says Salman Khan has been biased on Bigg Boss OTT 2: ‘Ek star dusre star ko hi support karenge’

Aaliya Siddiqui, estranged wife of actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and film producer, recently claimed that Salman Khan has been biased on his show Bigg Boss OTT 2. Aaliya was evicted recently from the house. Talking about her eviction, she said she was targeted in the show for sharing her past. Aaliya in Bigg Boss OTT 2

Aaliya entered Bigg Boss OTT 2 as the eighth contestant. She said she was there in the show to clean up her image as her sole public identity is that of a star wife. She made news for her legal fights with Nawazuddin. She had to leave the house following a surprise mid-week eviction.

Aaliya on being targeted in Bigg Boss OTT 2

Talking about her time in Bigg Boss OTT 2, Aaliya Siddiqui told DNA India, “Maine apne baare mein baat kar li, par uss baat ko le ke mujhe target karna, yeh mujhe samaj nahi aaya (Yes, I shared my past in the house, but, I didn’t understand why I was targeted for that). Everyone was discussing their personal life. Why was I targeted?” When asked if Salman Khan was biased on the show, Aaliya agreed. “100%. Salman unhi ka saath denge jo unke ird-gird hai. Ek star, dusre star ko hi support karenge (Salman will support who’s close to him. A star will support another star).”

“Ab next weekend pe main dekhna pasand karungi ki jo Pooja (Bhatt) ne kaha ki ‘main Mahesh Bhatt ki beti hoon’ (Pooja boasts that ‘she’s the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt), I want to see how Salman will react to this. I have also spoken about the outside world and even she has. So I want to see how fair the game is,” Aaliya added. She also briefly commented if this season really puts the public in power as they claim ”Janta Ka Bigg Boss’. She replied, “Mujhe nahi lagta ki yeh janta ka Bigg Boss hai (I don’t think this is the public’s opinion).” She also said favouritism exists in the industry.

It happened during a task inside the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house, Pooja Bhatt had asked Aaliya that she must stop playing the victim. She added that many women, including herself, have also seen their marriage break, however, they move on. On the show, the contestants were asked to nominate co-contestants for eviction for the week. Pooja had named Aaliya for her reasons. Salman Khan who is hosting the show, had also scolded Aaliya for speaking about her personal life.
