Motorola plans to complete 5G OTA update rollout by November – Times of India
Motorola has a wide range of 5G-enabled smartphones in the company. The company’s smartphones support between 11 to 13 5G bands from both mmWave and sub-6GHz bands that are available in the country. The company has already rolled out software updates on some of its devices and it is also planning to update the rest of the 5G devices in the coming weeks.
Prashanth Mani, Executive Director, Motorola Asia Pacific has confirmed that the company has rolled out OTA software updates for “enabling 5G across both SA (Reliance Jio) and NSA (Airtel & Vi) 5G modes, simultaneously on Motorola devices, enabling consumers to experience seamless 5G across operators”.
The company has already rolled out the OTA updates for Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, Edge 30 Fusion, Edge 30 Pro, Edge 30, Moto G62 5G and Moto G82 5G smartphones and it is planning to rollout the update for other 5G devices in subsequent weeks with a target to complete the rollout by the end of this month.
The company has also revealed the update timeline for its 5G smartphones. Refer to the table below:
