Silver Ferns win Taini Jamison trophy after defeating understrength Jamaica 75
The Silver Ferns have won the Taini Jamison trophy after beating a seriously understrength Jamaica 75-35 in Auckland.
The Silver Ferns took out the first quarter 20-11.
With six minutes left in the second quarter Phoenix Karaka shifted to goal defence and Kayla Johnson came on at wing defence.
New Zealand led 36-22 at half-time, with Grace Nweke scoring 25 of those before being replaced by Maia Wilson at goal shoot.
Jamaica had a horror third quarter being outscored 20-6 by New Zealand.

Te Paea Selby-Rickit came on for Ameliaranne Ekenasio for the final quarter.
Ekenasio increased her accuracy from last night’s first Test, scoring 16 goals.
Maddy Gordon also came off the bench and into centre, and Sulu Fitzpatrick replaced Kelly Jury at goal keep for the final 15 minutes.
The Jamaicans didn’t utilise their ring-ins on the bench so the seven on court had to take on a full load again.
With the Ferns beating the visitors 70-45 in the first Test, the series hasn’t been the preparation New Zealand was looking for before next month’s Constellation Cup against Australia.
