Nothing hints at a new product launch: Here’s what to expect – Times of India

First came the parrots and with them, we saw the Nothing Phone (1). Now, the company is teasing a butterfly, which could be an indicator of something new up its sleeve. Carl Pei-led Nothing has tweeted an image of a butterfly with the text that reads, “Sublime. Coming Soon.” The tweet was followed up by the company’s co-founder Pei tweeting, “The animal kingdom is calling again.” This does suggest that there might something new in the offing from Nothing.

The next product from Nothing?

Nothing created a whole lot of buzz around its Phone (1) and it all started with the images of parrots. Gradually, the company started dropping hints about a new smartphone. Every second day some specification or feature was teased on social media and the result was rather unprecedented hype around the Phone (1). The Phone (1) seemed to have done quite well as Nothing revealed that in India the company has sold over 100,000 units of its first smartphone.
Nothing’s journey started with the Ear (1) and then it moved to the Phone (1). A new animal does hint a new product but it may just be too soon for a new product. It’s been only three months since Phone (1) was launched. Though if the company were to launch a new product then it could be a fitness band or a smartwatch as that would be the most logical step in building an ecosystem of Nothing products.
Perhaps Nothing could launch a new colour variant of the Phone (1). That would be a more logical guess as that’s exactly what Nothing did with its first product, the ear(1) true wireless earbuds. The earbuds were unveiled in a new black colour variant a few months after its launch.
