Fearless and cheerful, Anushka Sen is all set to host her first chat show on Zee Café. Here’s catching up with the 19-year-old

Your show is called Not Just a Chat Show; can you tell us more about the concept?

My upcoming show on Zee Cafe is called Not Just a Chat Show and, yes, it is my first chat show. It was a great experience to try something new. The best part of the chat show is that it is very different from others; it is very organic and spontaneous.

This is your first show as a host. How did you prepare for it?

I began preparing for it by thinking that I am going to ask this question or play that game, but, honestly, after a point I let it be. I started thinking let’s see what happens on the sets and how the conversation goes. Then, I can ask questions spontaneously. The chat show is not like the usual ones where there is a set of questions and you know exactly what’s going to happen. This one is very heart-to-heart.

Whom do you admire as a host?

My favourite is Rohit Shetty sir. I have always loved his hosting skills and he is also a great mentor.

Which guests will be seen on your show?

The first guest was Krystle D’souza and it was amazing to shoot with her. She has an amazing personality. We also had on board aesthetic physician Monica Jacob, who was on the popular show The Fabulous lives of Bollywood Wives. So, a completely different conversation with her revealed a lot of secrets. Then I spoke to Shipra Khanna and Riddhima Pandit as well.

From a child artiste to a social media sensation, how has your journey been so far?

I never knew that influencing is actually going to be a big thing when I started, but I enjoyed being on the screen as a child actor. Five years back, I started posting on Instagram and connected with my fans. Now it has become such a big thing and I love being an influencer. I love when people follow the things that I do!

What kind of revelations can we expect from you and the guests on the show?

The audience will know in candid chats with the guests, as they spill the beans on their personal and professional lives. The show will give the audience what they really want to know about their favourite celebs.

What was your post from Korea all about?

I had signed a film and a web show with an agency on Korea. It is a different language; a different industry and I am looking forward to shooting.
