Dubai To Soon Have Robot Chef To Prepare And Serve Meals At Eateries
Ever imagined living in a world of robots? Robots doing household chores, taking you around the city and preparing your meal – it seems like a movie script, isn’t it? Let’s agree, we have watched such a scenario in various Indian and Hollywood movies and even cartoon shows. But what if we say, you can now experience the same in Dubai?! That’s right. As per various reports, Dubai is all set to introduce robots in restaurants to prepare and serve meals to the patrons. Sounds quite exciting; right? And we are sure, the tech enthusiasts want to know more about it.
Over the years, the food and beverage industry across the globe has been experiencing various upgradation. From inclusion of smart technologies to standardisation of the workflow – we have seen it all happening around. Joining the bandwagon, Dubai is all set to offer people an all the new ‘robotic’ experience during restaurant dining. Outlook India reports that Americana Restaurants which work with popular food chains including Pizza Hut, KFC etc in Middle East and North Africa will soon launch this innovation, in collaboration with Miso Robotics.
Reportedly, a robotic arm named Flippy 2 will be tested at the Wimpy restaurant in Dubai Mall. According to Melvin Michael, brand director of the popular fast-food chain Wimpy, the collaboration with Americana Restaurants and Miso Robotics mark a significant milestone in the world of food and beverage industry, reports UAE based webloid The National. This is the first phase of the agreement, with expansion planned across other Americana restaurants in the coming months, the repot further states.
