Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Open Challenge 2022 schedule, format

BMOC 2022 schedule is mentioned below:

  • In-game qualifiers – April 4th to April 10th
  • BMOC – April 21st to May 15th
  • BMPS – May 19th to June 12th

During the in-game qualifiers, registered players will need to play 15 matches with their squad, out of which the top 10 matches will be considered for evaluation. The best 512 squads will qualify for the BGMI tournament. BMOC will take place in four rounds, where teams will be divided into groups and each group will play 5 or 6 matches on specific dates. The exact format of matches is listed below:

Round 1

A total of 512 teams will be divided into 32 groups and each group will play 5 matches of online qualifiers. The top 8 teams from each group will qualify for Round 2.

Round 2

The top 216 teams will be divided into 16 groups and each group will play 5 matches of online qualifiers. The best 4 teams from each group will qualify for Round 3.

Round 3

64 teams will be divided into 4 groups and each group will play 6 matches of online qualifiers. The best 8 teams from each group will qualify for Round 4.

Round 4

32 teams from online qualifiers and 32 additional invited teams will be divided into 4 groups and each group will play 5 matches of online qualifiers. The best 6 teams from each group will qualify for BMPS.

BMPS 2022 will consist of League Stage and Grand Finals. 24 teams qualified from BMOC will be split into 3 groups that will compete against each other in a round-robin format. A total of 24 round robins will be played by each group, and the top 16 teams will progress to the Grand Finals. During the Grand Finals, the qualified teams will play 24 matches, and the squad with the highest cumulative score will emerge as the winner of BMPS.
