From a banker to an actor, Ranaksh Rana’s journey is an interesting one
How did you get into acting?
I worked in different industries during which I explored theatre and modelling. I played different profiles in the corporate world, but acting was my calling.
From a banker to an actor, how did that happen?
It was always my dream to be an artiste. With the right amount of self-belief, encouragement from others and hard work, this switch was possible.
What was your first break and how did you get it?
I worked for a Marathi music video in 2018. Then I won the Face of India 2020 title, which was a major milestone. After that music video Fidaai happened.
How was it working with Elli AvrRam for the song Fidaai?
It was amazing! I am her fan and had dreamt of meeting her one day or at least take a picture with her. Little did I know I would get a chance to share the screen space with her!
What kind of work are you looking for?
Everything under the sun which will help me grow as a person and evolve as an artiste. I have big dreams and the will to work on them.
What are the pros and cons about the entertainment industry?
The pro is that you get to be anyone and everyone. Con is that you get to be anyone and everyone. I believe in action and outcomes. Analysing and making opinions become subjective and may change with time and situations.
What are your interests other than acting?
Writing, doing voice-over, fitness, photography. Any and every form of art and creative work.
Where do you see yourself five years from now?
I feel that the pandemic has changed the world overnight, so you can’t have a rigid plan for the future. That will only lead to disappointment. I have a path and a road ahead and I want to keep going on it and work towards my goals and dreams.
