Social media medium can be ruthless. It has both good and bad elements to it. It can get you all the fame and defame you at the same time.

At a time when superstar Shah Rukh Khan is going through a bad time after his son’s arrest in cruise ship drugs raid, some twitter users dug-up an old tweet of the actor, where he is apologising for Kolkata Knight Riders’ loss, perhaps to “troll” him.

Chennai Super Kings defeated the actor’s team in the IPL’s 2021 finals on Friday.

“Disappointing performance. to say the least @KKRiders apologies to all the fans!” Khan’s tweet, which dates back to April 13, read.

The tweet was in response to an epic choke that left Kolkata Knight Riders reeling at Chepauk as the franchise lost from a position of dominance. KKR co-owner SRK later apologised to the fans after that disappointing performance where his team went down by 10 runs.

Did Kolkata Knight Riders choke against Chennai Super Kings too?

Many personalities from the film industry, including veteran actor-politician Raj Babbar, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Pooja Bhat, Shekhar Kapoor and music composer Vishal Dadlani have come out in support of the actor, saying that the hardships won’t “deter his soul” as the superstar’s son Aryan Khan remain in custody in connection with the drugs case. Aryan, 23, was arrested on October 3 with others after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) busted a rave party on board the cruise ship in Mumbai. Aryan is currently in Arthur Road prison.
