JTB Adds Tripkicks, Sherpa to Duty-of-Care Suite
JTB Business Travel now is offering two services focused on duty of care, Tripkicks and Sherpa, to its corporate travel clients. Both tools are being made available to complement Crisis24, a risk management service already offered via JTB, to comprise a duty-of-care services suite, the travel management company said.
Originally launched as a corporate travel cost-savings and rewards platform, Tripkicks pivoted a service model with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic to focus on providing messaging regarding local virus risk and guidelines and requirements within the booking environment. The company, which was named People’s Choice at BTN’s 2020 Innovation Faceoff, also offers sustainability related messaging. Under the new deal with JTB, Tripkicks will be available to the TMC’s clients under a reseller arrangement.
Sherpa’s offering focuses on travel documentation, providing travelers and travel managers with real-time access to jurisdictional travel rules and entry requirements, as well as an interactive map and an integrated application process for required travel documents. JTB will offer Sherpa to clients at no additional cost, the TMC said.
Tripkicks and Sherpa during the past year each have gained TMC partners as the Covid-19 pandemic increased emphasis on corporate duty-of-care responsibilities. Tripkicks late last year inked a pact to integrate its messaging capabilities into the OBT Executive Travel’s online booking tool, while Sherpa partnered withDirect Travel to offer its services to clients of that TMC.
