Wimbledon 2021 Day 10: Pliskova to face Barty in women’s singles final
WELCOME TO DAY 10 OF WIMBLEDON 2021: The premier grass-court event is heading into its business end as Wimbledon now will see semi-finalists face off against each other to qualify for the penultimate match. First up on Thursday, the women’s singles semi-finals will be played at the Centre Court of the All England Club.
World no.1 Ashleigh Barty will take on former champion Angelique Kerber in the first semis while Karolína Plíšková faces second-seeded Aryna Sabalenka.

Ashleigh Barty has won the first set against Angelique Kerber 6-3. She has looked dominant in the clash as she broke Kerber and then saved three break points against the German.
4) Second set heads into a tie-breaker
Barty has taken Kerber into a tie-breaker into the second set.

Ashleigh Barty is heading into the Wimbledon women’s singles final. She has defeated Kerber 6-3, 7-6(7-3) to head into the final. She will meet the winner of the Pliskova vs Sabalenka match.
6) Second semi-final about to begin
Barty will find out who she is facing in the finals as the second women’s singles match between Karolina Pliskova and Aryna Sabalenka is about to start at Centre Court.
7) Sabalenka takes first set
Belarus player Aryna Sabalenka drew first blood in the second semifinal of Wimbledon women’s singles. Sabalenka beat Karolina Pliskova 7-5 in a hard fought contest.
8) Pliskova levels the game
Eighth-seeded Karolina Pliskova has won the second set 6-4 to take the match into the deciding set.
9) Pliskova vs Barty in the final
Pliskova has reached the final of Wimbledon 2021 after beating Aryna Sabalenka 5-7, 6-4, 6-4. Both Barty and Pliskova have never won Wimbledon and Saturday will see a new women’s singles champion at the All England Club.
