Former Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar, who is accused of kidnapping and murder of Sagar Dhankar, has written a letter to the Tihar jail administration, demanding TV from them so that he can keep himself entertained. In his letter, Sushil has also said that he wants updates related to wrestling matches across the globe.

Sushil Kumar is currently on extended judicial custody till July 9 in connection with the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl matter leading to the death of 23-year-old wrestler Sagar Dhankar. He is facing charges of murder, culpable homicide, and kidnapping.

Kumar, a prime suspect in the murder case, and his associate Ajay Bakkarwala were arrested by a team of Special Cell, Delhi Police on May 23 in the Mundka area of the national capital.

Sushil and his associates have been accused of abducting Sagar from his house in Model Town to teach him a lesson for bad-mouthing him in front of other wrestlers, police had said. Sushil, according to the police, even told a guy named Prince to make a video of the incident and wanted it to go viral in his community so that nobody else dares to offend the veteran wrestler.

Wrestler Sagar Rana died and two of his friends were injured after they were allegedly assaulted by Kumar and others inside the stadium. The incident took place late on May 4 over a dispute related to a property located in Delhi’s Model Town.
