WhatsApp keeps bringing new updates for the betterment of the user experience. Recently the Meta-owned instant messaging platform has bought the Companion Mode for iOS, which will allow users to run a single WhatsApp account on multiple iPhones. The update for the Companion Mode is being rolled out for all iOS users all over the globe. The users can download the same by visiting the Apple App Store. The feature will allow the users to send along with receiving calls and messages from connected iPhones without having any effect on the end-to-end encryption.

Are you getting WhatsApp calls from unknown international numbers? Beware!

According to WABetaInfo, in order to link an iPhone to a secondary device, you are supposed to install WhatsApp and login to your existing account by choosing the ‘link device to an existing account’ option. Now, your secondary device will make a QR code that you have to scan from the primary device through the ‘Link with QR code’ option. After the same is successfully executed then, all your chats will get safely synchronized with your primary iPhone.

The users will be allowed to use the same account for up to four devices. So, any and every message sent to one device will appear on the rest with the same level of security as the primary one. Nonetheless, the feature will work on iPhones similar to Android devices, and the functionality of connected gadgets will be restricted. For example, you will not be allowed to handle broadcast lists and the share status through the linked devices.

The stable release of the feature has already been started by WhatsApp, and you will pretty soon get the update for your iPhone too. Expectations are that the features will be rolled out for all the iPhones in the upcoming weeks. The Companion Mode will also be available for the WhatsApp Business for iOS.
