Things you can do with this feature
The ‘mobile/email address verify service’ is strictly aimed at letting users check which of their phone numbers is linked with their Aadhaar. The feature allows users to check both mobile number and email address linked to their Aadhaar. It also shows residents the last three digits of their linked phone number with Aadhaar to help them recognise it.
Things you can’t do with this feature
While Aadhaar holders can check the linked mobile number and email address, the feature does not allow users to change them. To do this, they can to visit the nearest Aadhaar centre with the due documentation as proof.
Steps to check linked mobile number and email address with Aadhaar
- Open “https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/” or click here (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/)
- Click on ‘My Aadhaar’ option and choose ‘Verify Email/Mobile number’ option
- Now, make the following selections
- To verify mobile number: Select ‘Verify Mobile number’
- To verify email address: ‘Select Verify Email address’
- Then, enter the following details — Aadhaar number, Mobile number/Email address and captcha
- Click Send OTP and enter the OTP received
In case the phone number or email address entered is not linked to the Aadhaar number provided, it will tell users necessary actions they are required to take. If it is verified/linked, residents will see a message, “‘the mobile number you have entered is already verified with our records’, displayed on their screen.
