Rishab Shetty spotted at polling booth in Udupi as he casts his vote in Karnataka assembly election 2023, shares pics

On Wednesday, actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty was seen outside a polling booth in Udupi before casting his vote in the Karnataka assembly election 2023. He was photographed near his car as made his way inside the polling booth. The actor also took to Instagram to share photos of himself after he had cast his vote. Rishab, who was dressed in a white shirt and matching mundu, shared photos of himself as he showed his Voter ID Card. He also proudly displayed the electoral ink on his forefinger after he had cast his vote. Rishab also shared a couple of photos of himself at the polling booth. He posed with a few fans in one of them. Along with the pictures, he wrote in his caption, “I have voted for a better future of our Karnataka. Have you voted yet?” He added the hashtags ‘Karnataka assembly election 2023’, ‘vote now’ and ‘our right our vote’ to his caption.

Reacting to his photos, a fan commented on Rishab’s post, “Simplicity and down to earth attitude make you legend.” Earlier, news agency ANI tweeted pictures of Rishab outside the polling booth, and wrote, “Actor Rishab Shetty arrives at a polling booth in Udupi to cast his vote for Karnataka assembly election 2023.”

In February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had met Rishab Shetty, as well as actor Yash and late actor Puneeth Rajkumar’s wife Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, among others, in Bengaluru. Talking about the interaction with PM Modi, Rishab had told the news agency ANI at the time, “I consider PM Modi as a great leader and I’m so happy to meet him. He asked about Kannada film industry, what is going on and what we require etc. and he also told what he can do. He praised Kantara movie.”

In February, Rishab Shetty had confirmed that his 2022 film Kantara, which had emerged as the highest grossing film of all time in Karnataka, will be getting a prequel. Kantara 2 will be released in 2024. Rishab had said that what audiences saw in Kantara was actually the second part, Kantara 2 will be the prequel to the origin story, making it the first part. He had also confirmed that he has commenced the scripting for Kantara 2.
