Ben Affleck, Matt Damon’s Air OTT release date in India announced: where to watch online, trailer

The release date for the much-awaited movie ‘Air’ has been announced. The Ben Affleck and Matt Damon starrer movie released in theatres on April 5, and it will soon be available to stream online. Directed by Affleck himself, Air documents the story of how Nike started the Air Jordan sneaker lineup. The movie has so far grossed around $75 million globally, and received good reviews as well.  

Air release date in India

Air is scheduled to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on May 12th. Amazon Studios is also part of the movie’s production along with other studios. This is only the second Amazon Studios movie after it made Last Night in 2019. This will be a worldwide release so Amazon Prime members will be able to stream it on May 12th as well. 

Air movie plot

Air is a biographical movie that documents one of the most popular sneaker collection in the world and how it was created. It will feature a young and rookie Michael Jordan who signs his first sneaker deal with Nike for the company’s basketball division to start the Air Jordan collection.

“This moving story follows the career-defining gamble of an unconventional team with everything on the line, the uncompromising vision of a mother who knows the worth of her son’s immense talent, and the basketball phenom who would become the greatest of all time,” Amazon explains in its website.

Air movie cast

Ben Affleck plays the role of Phil Knight, the co-founder of Nike. Matt Damon takes the role of Sonny Vaccaro, Nike executive and the person behind Michael Jordan’s deal with Nike. Michael Jordan is portrayed by Damian Delano Young, and Viola Davis taking the role of his mother, Deloris Jordan. The movie’s star-studded lineup also includes Jason Bateman and Chris Tucker.
