ASUS ROG Phone 7 specifications tipped; two models expected to launch
Tipster Abhishek Yadav took to Twitter and revealed that the ROG Phone 7 series will include two devices: the vanilla ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. As per him, ASUS is planning to drop the ROG Phone 7 Pro which is a surprising development. Let’s look at the ASUS ROG Phone 7 series’ features, specs, and other information that is currently known.

According to a recent tweet by Yadav, the ASUS ROG Phone 7 series will consist of two gaming smartphones: the ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. The upcoming devices will feature Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, as is typical for ASUS’ high-end smartphone series. The ROG Phone 7 series may come with the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, with a maximum clock speed of 3.2GHz, rather than the overclocked version found in the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
The leak also revealed that the ROG Phone 7 series will have a triple-camera setup on the back, featuring a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP macro sensor. The devices will have a 32MP front camera sensor and measure 173 x 77 x 10.3mm, with a weight of 239 grams.
The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate is anticipated to feature 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, surpassing the standard model’s 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The devices will operate on Android 13 straight out of the box and be accompanied by a customised ROG UI layer.
Previous reports have pointed out that the ROG Phone 7 series will sport a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The series is also said to have a 6000mAh battery and support 65W fast charging. The lineup is to be launched on April 13th, and we will share more details once available.
