59 Great Deals on Sleep Tech and Smart Frames for Valentine’s Day
if your valentine isn’t a fan of flowers and chocolate, there are plenty of other options to surprise them with—whether your loved one is a partner, friend, or family member. But for those struggling to find the perfect alternative, we’ve got you covered. Below, you’ll find a number of discounts on gift ideas that cover a wide range of interests, including photography, books, self-care, fitness, and more. Don’t forget to treat yourself.
Updated February 11: We’ve added new last-minute deals, including the TheraFace Pro and a kitchen and home section.
Special offer for Gear readers: Get a 1-year subscription to WIRED for $5 ($25 off). This includes unlimited access to WIRED.com and our print magazine (if you’d like). Subscriptions help fund the work we do every day.
Kitchen and Home Deals
This isn’t a huge discount, but we love this kit, and if your partner loves a Bloody Mary brunch, they’ll appreciate it. Toma’s Bloody Mary mix is delicious, and this set comes with two of Haand’s Chemist Cups (they’re handcrafted in the US). There are other kits for more money that add plates and a cheese tray. If you just want the mix, Toma has a 10 percent off sale with code WINTER10.
Enter code LOVE20 to see the discount at checkout. If you’re going the traditional route, Bouq’s mailable bouquets are beautiful and arrive intact. It has classic Valentine’s Day bouquets like red roses, but I personally love the other options, like ones that add succulents, or even a dried bouquet of purple orchard grass and eucalyptus.
You can spend less on the original mini waffle maker that we like, but this one makes a heart-shaped breakfast—what better way to surprise your significant other than with Valentine’s Day–themed breakfast in bed? If you didn’t know, waffle makers can be used for more than their namesake. Any batter, like eggs or even hashbrowns, will work.
Not all of us can have green thumbs or space for an outdoor garden. But this countertop hydroponic garden makes it easy to grow your own herbs—we tried a slightly different version. They may not be perfect specimens, but they’ll add a nice garnish to home-cooked meals. This is $10 less than we saw during Black Friday.
I know what you’re thinking: “A knife? How romantic …” But this is our favorite chef’s knife, and if your loved one is a budding cook, they’ll understand the sentiment. It stays sharp, and its nonstick finish is a lifesaver when you’re chopping up sticky foods like cilantro. If taken care of, it should last several years.
Buying a loved one appliances can be dicey—lest we forget the Father of the Bride blender fiasco—but a KitchenAid Stand Mixer is a coveted piece of equipment. If your partner loves to cook and bake, this makes a great gift that should last their lifetime. We usually see it slightly cheaper during Black Friday, at around $250, but this is still a good deal. This price is also available at Best Buy.
Of every odd gift on this list, an air purifier may be the least romantic. But what says “I love you” more than clean air for their precious lungs? (Maybe attach a heart-shaped balloon to it and add a box of their favorite candy to be safe.) This Bissell purifier is one of our favorites. It looks elegant, cleans air quickly and efficiently, and can be controlled with the dial or with an app.
For the birder spouses, Wingspan is a fun strategy game. You play as bird enthusiasts who want to attract new and exciting avians to your wildlife preserves. It’s fun to play together as a couple, but this game also works for just one person when you’re not around.
Instant Camera and Digital Photo Frame Deals
Polaroid’s Now+ (7/10, WIRED Review) instant camera comes with a smartphone companion app. It doesn’t offer the easiest user experience, but it does allow you to utilize features like Tripod Mode and Manual Mode and set a custom f-stop in Aperture Priority Mode. You’ll also get the signature Polaroid features, like vintage aesthetics and roll-out film.
If you’re looking for a printer to accompany your smartphone, Fujifilm’s Instax SP-3 Mobile Printer holds the title of Best Instant Printer in our buying guide. It’s simple to set up and use via the companion app on your phone. However, we recommend using your own photo-editing app instead of Fujifilm’s to tweak your snapshots before hitting print.
Clip the coupon code on the page to see the deal at checkout. Monster’s digital frame isn’t as nice as our favorites from Nixplay and Aura, but it’s an excellent value. The touchscreen is responsive, and the 1280p display offers crisp photo quality. It comes with support for Google Assistant and Alexa. It does have a limit of 4,000 photos, but that’s plenty of storage. This is the lowest price we’ve seen.
Ebook Reader and Weighted Blanket Deals
The Kindle got a refresh late last year, adding a brighter and clearer display and USB-C charging to the most affordable e-reader in Amazon’s lineup. This deal includes three months of Kindle Unlimited—a subscription I happily pay for. In our Best Kindles guide, this model is the second-best. It’s smaller than the others, but also significantly cheaper. It isn’t waterproof, and it doesn’t have page-turning buttons or a warm-toned backlight. If those features are important to you or your giftee, consider forking over a bit more cash for the Kindle Paperwhite, which is also on sale for $104 ($36 off).
The Nook Glowlight 4e is another solid ebook reader, and it comes with physical page-turn buttons, which is rare for this price. The bookstore offers a variety of cheap ebooks, all of which are $3 or less. Our only gripe is how frustrating it is to get a library book on this device, as you’ll have to go through Adobe Digital Editions.
Cozy up with an ebook under a weighted blanket. If you’re looking for a wide variety of weight options and sizes (including kid-specific ones), look no further than the Luna. We also love that it’s machine washable and comes in a bunch of nice designs and colors.
Let’s face it, almost every relationship has a blanket hog—whether that’s you or your partner. Layla’s King-size weighted blanket is the perfect solution, as it’s big enough to share. This blanket is discounted often, but this is the lowest price we’ve seen. You can choose between 15, 20, or 25 pounds.
This is technically a budget version of Gravity’s weighted blankets, but it feels anything but. The 15-pound blanket is made of excellent, cool cotton that feels lovely. If your Valentine is more of a robe type, Gravity’s Fleece Weighted Robe (which we also love) is on sale for $40 ($90 off), though it’s increasingly out of stock.
Since Casper’s weighted blanket is made of cool cotton, we recommend it for those who tend to get hot when bundled up. You have a choice of weight options, including 10, 15, and 20 pounds. Stuck on which one to get? The lighter option provides a comfortably squished feeling, while the heavier one is a Thundershirt for humans.
This is our favorite weighted throw. It’s not too thick or too hot, and its small size is perfect if you share a bed with someone who isn’t a fan of weighted blankets, since it’ll only cover one of you. This blanket has dipped to $135 in the past, but we still consider this a solid deal. If you order directly from the site (use code HUG15 to apply the discount), the company will monogram the throw for free.
Enter code BEST35 to see the discount at checkout. This is a great blanket for solo sleepers. It’s thin, so it’ll keep you cool throughout the night. It’s available in a number of weight options, including 10, 12, 15, 17, and 20 pounds.
If your significant other has ever expressed interest in being swaddled like a baby, we recommend the Sleep Pod. Unlike a weighted blanket, the stretchy material clings to you instead of using weights, mimicking the feel of a soft hug. Prefer to have your feet out? Check out the Sleep Pod Move for $95 ($35 off). In addition to these discounts, Hug Sleep is offering a buy one, get one 50 percent off promotion.
Enter code FEEL to see the discount at checkout. This blanket is made out of cool cotton, but it comes with a cover made of Yogibo’s well-known cotton-and-spandex blend. It’s super soft, stretchy, and smooth. The blanket isn’t machine washable, but the cover is. We also recommend the Yogibo Weigh Mate, which is on sale for $53 ($4 off).
Wireless Earbud Deals
The Google Pixel Buds Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommends) are great earbuds for Android users who want a simple experience. You’ll also get the most bang for your buck. These buds pack beam-forming microphones, noise-canceling tech, and eight hours of battery life (complete with a wireless charging case). With multi-device pairing, you can connect them to your phone and laptop simultaneously. A similar deal is available at Amazon and Walmart.
This is a match of the best deal we’ve seen for the second-gen AirPods Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommends). There are plenty of great earbuds on the market, but Apple’s AirPods remain ever-popular. We think these are especially good headphones for folks who use an iPhone. They’re comfortable, they sound fantastic, and they pair seamlessly with Apple devices.
If you want to block out the noise around you, Sony’s WH-1000XM4 (7/10, WIRED Recommends) are the best wireless earbuds on the market. These buds come equipped with foam ear tips, Sony’s digital signal processing, and a companion app to adjust the equalization and how much outside noise you want to hear. With an auto-pause feature, they can detect when you’re speaking and pause the music. Sony’s buds dipped lower to $179 in December, but we still think this is a solid deal.
Google’s cheaper earbuds are some of the best around for most people. They look good, sound great, and offer five hours of listening time (plus IPX4 sweat resistance). They don’t have a wireless charging case, so you will have to plug them in to recharge via the USB-C port. They work best with Android phones, with quick access to Google Assistant and your notifications, though they’re compatible with iPhones too (minus some features).
Phone, Tablet, and Accessory Deals
This deal is a match of the lowest price we’ve seen for our favorite Android smartphone. The Pixel 6A (8/10, WIRED Recommends) goes on sale quite frequently, but it brings incredible value even at full price. It’s tough to find a better cheap phone if your Valentine is in need of an upgrade.
The Pixel 7 is one of the best deals you’ll find when shopping for a phone in the US. For $500, you get some of the best cameras on the market, a 90-Hz AMOLED screen, great performance, and plenty of useful software features, plus perks like wireless charging and five years of security updates.
The Pixel 7 Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is highlighted as the top upgrade pick in our Best Google Pixel Phones guide. It may be worthwhile if you care a lot about your smartphone camera, especially when it comes to zooming in, thanks to the 5X optical zoom camera. Its battery also lasts over a day on a single charge.
This deal is on the 256 GB model of the phone, handy if you often run out of storage. The OnePlus 10 Pro (7/10, WIRED Recommends) packs powerful hardware with a 120-Hz AMOLED screen, swift performance, and some of the quickest wired and wireless charging you’ll find in the US. Its cameras aren’t on par with the Pixel 7 or Galaxy S22, but it does take nice photos. It’s worth noting that it only packs sub-6 5G connectivity (no millimeter-wave here), and the T-Mobile version has an IP67 water-resistance rating while the unlocked version doesn’t. The 128 GB model is also discounted on Amazon for $590 ($109 off).
The Asus ROG Phone 6 is our favorite gaming phone. It packs a massive 6.78-inch AMOLED screen and 165-Hz refresh rate, plus Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and 12 GB of RAM—meaning any game you play will be smooth and feel responsive. It’s got the battery capacity to keep you glued to the screen for hours too. Did I mention the accessories that make gaming even more fun on a phone?
This is the best iPad for most people. While it isn’t the newest model, it’s still our top pick (8/10, WIRED Recommends). It’s compatible with tons of our favorite iPad accessories, and the A13 chip delivers plenty of processing power. It also has a nice display and a reliable front camera. This price is one of the best we’ve seen.
The Apple Pencil is one of the best iPad accessories you can buy. This version is easier to charge and store than its predecessor. The pressure-sensitive stylus is useful for everything from drawing to taking notes, and it’s compatible with most versions of the iPad lineup (except the 9th-gen iPad above).
Clip the coupon to drop the price of this handy charger even lower than it was on Prime Day. Reviews editor Julian Chokkattu swears by the little sphere, which essentially replaces a power strip. Aside from the MagSafe iPhone charger, it also features three AC outlets, two USB-A ports, and two USB-C ports (one of which can charge a MacBook). If your Valentine can’t manage a cable to save their life, this could be a great present.
If your giftee frequents the beach or the slopes, this sturdy dry bag might make a good budget-friendly present. It’s compatible with all sorts of devices (there’s a full list on the product page). It’ll protect your phone from rain, dust, water, and sand. The clear front allows you to use your phone touchscreen while it’s in the pouch, and the detachable lanyard keeps your gear around. Should you accidentally drop your phone in the drink, the air cushions will float it up to the surface.
This gift also gives. Satechi is donating 10 percent of its sales from February 10 to February 17 to the Turkey earthquake relief fund, and you can get 20 percent off any product with the code DONATE. We like many of its products, such as the Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand.
Smartwatch and Fitness Tracker Deals
This is our favorite Garmin for most people, especially those who prefer the look of a traditional watch but still want smart-connected features. The entry-level smartwatch has an analog watch face but packs a plethora of health and fitness features, including the ability to track heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep metrics, and more. It comes in attractive colors like Cocoa, Cool Mint, and Peach Gold.
For partners or family members who are dedicated runners, we recommend the Forerunner 45. Even though it’s an entry-level tracker, it comes with advanced features like satellite tracking to help determine your distance, pace, and stride length more precisely—making it easier to pinpoint where you need improvement. It comes with Incident Detection, which sends your real-time location to emergency contacts for peace of mind when running alone.
We’ve seen this price a few times, but it’s still a good discount on the Apple Watch Series 8 (8/10, WIRED Recommends). This is the top pick in our guide to the Best Apple Watches. Check out our Best Apple Watch Accessories guide for additional recommendations.
The Inspire 3 is our favorite budget tracker. Equipped with a pedometer and SpO2 sensor, it tracks the basics, like steps and sleep. Since it connects to your smartwatch, you’ll receive notifications for incoming calls, texts, and more. In our testing, we experienced some connectivity issues and inaccurate tracking (like overestimating the amount of sleep we got), but we still think it’s a solid and affordable fitness tracker if you just want to keep an eye on your metrics.
Fitbit’s Charge 5 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is affordable, comfortable, and easy to use. In addition to the basics, like tracking step count and calories burned throughout the day, it packs advanced fitness features, such as onboard and connected GPS (so you can accurately track outdoor workouts), an SpO2 sensor to record blood oxygen levels throughout the night, an ECG app for heart monitoring, and more.
The Pixel Watch (6/10, WIRED Review) is arguably the prettiest smartwatch around. It offers excellent fitness tracking, though it lacks staples like SpO2 measurements and auto workout detection. Its battery life is also quick to deplete, so you’ll be placing it on the charger a lot, though the experience is not too different from an Apple Watch. This deal is also available at Target.
Click the coupon button on the page to see the discount at checkout. This Wear OS smartwatch doesn’t have the most impressive battery life (you’ll most likely have to charge it in the morning after tracking sleep), and it feels a bit cheap. But if you’re mainly focused on checking notifications and monitoring your fitness, it’s an affordable smartwatch that accurately logs metrics. It’ll also receive Wear OS 3 in the future.
The Galaxy Watch5 Pro (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is the best smartwatch if your Valentine has an Android phone—especially a Samsung. It’s just as accurate as the Apple Watch when tracking health and fitness metrics, including heart rate, SpO2, and sleep. It takes electrocardiogram measurements (although that’s exclusive to Samsung phones) and has a GPX feature that allows you to download hiking routes to the watch. It’s worth noting this watch is on the larger side, so we recommend it for those with big wrists.
Personal Care Deals
We’ve rounded up more sex toy deals here.
The TheraFace Pro is an expensive tool, but we love it. It includes interchangeable heads for cleansing and massaging, as well as LED lights and microcurrents. For another $99 (sob), you can include hot and cold attachments too. If your partner has been hinting at wanting an overhaul of their skincare drawer, they may be pleasantly surprised by this.
You may not know about the TheraFace, but you’ve probably heard of Theraguns. The Elite is our favorite of Therabody’s percussive massage devices. It’s powerful enough to ease sore muscles, but it’s also among the quietest. The triangle handle allows most people to get to hard-to-reach areas like the back.
Sportneer’s Percussive Massage Gun received an honorable mention in our Best Massage Guns roundup. You’ll get six attachments (two of which are metal-topped to use with massage oil) and six intensity levels—though the last two or three were a bit too intense for us.
Click the coupon button on the page to see the discount at checkout. In our testing, the Lairlux proved to be a bit difficult to figure out in terms of placement. Its attachments were only fine compared to other massage guns we’ve used. But if you’re interested in one with digital controls that allow you to set an exact intensity level (this one goes from one to 20), it’s a solid affordable option.
With gentle vibrations and soft suction, we suggest the Sila if you’re looking for a slow build. It has eight quiet settings—the highest one being noticeably less intense than what you might be used to. The wide mouth focuses more on surrounding erogenous zones than similar sex toys out there, leading to a deeper and longer-lasting orgasm.
The Sona 2 Cruise is the best suction toy we’ve tested. It’s also our number one recommendation for those who want to try something new. The body fits perfectly in the hand, the buttons are intuitive, and it offers a variety of intensities that’ll suit almost any preference. With Lelo’s Cruise Control technology, it’ll increase intensity when it’s pressed hard against the body.
The Enigma is built to stimulate both the clitoris and the G-spot. But rather than relying on vibration, its clitoral stimulation arm features a powerful air pulse mechanism with suction that mimics the sensation of receiving oral sex. Meanwhile, the bigger, rounder end of the toy is home to the vibration motor. Its body is flexible, allowing you to use one end or the other, or both simultaneously.
Lube is important! But squeezing a bottle until the cold goop squirts out isn’t arousing. The Pulse dispenser makes the task a lot easier. All you have to do is plug it in, add the lube, and hold your hand underneath the sensor to dispense warmed lube. It’s also a great option if you or your partner have dexterity issues and have difficulty pumping a bottle of lube. Our only grip is that you have to buy Pulse’s proprietary lube pods, which are a bit more expensive than the standard option.
Subscription Boxes and Meal Kit Deals
Enter code FIFTY-OFF to see the discount at checkout. The word Quintal refers to the weight in which coffee beans are both bought and sold in South America—which makes sense for this service that works directly with growers and roasters in some of Central and South America’s most acclaimed coffee-growing regions. Since it ships straight from the origin within one to three days of roasting, your coffee is going to arrive as fresh as possible. It’s a great subscription for the coffee lover in your life.
Atlas is one of our favorite services, particularly because it brings you coffee from around the world. You can choose between light-to-medium roasts, medium-to-dark roasts, or both. In our experience, each arrived on time, was nicely packaged, and came with notes about the country of origin. This coffee subscription is great for the adventurous type, though, since you might get beans you’re not a fan of. In honor of Valentine’s Day, you’ll get your first bag free.
Enter code FEBFLASH to see the discount at checkout. This meal kit offers a variety of soups, noodle bowls, grain bowls, smoothies, and shots. So, yes, it’s for the type of person who likes a very natural taste to their food. All meals are plant-based and free of GMOs and gluten. You can schedule deliveries as infrequently as once per month. This deal applies to your first three boxes on plans that cost $100 or more.
Miscellaneous Deals
We like this little streaming companion (8/10, WIRED Recommends). It goes on sale pretty often, and it’s a good pick for cord-cutters who prefer to stream from their phone. The 4K version is also on sale at $40 ($10 off). Read more about them in our Best Streaming Devices guide.
We generally like Stanley gear. The price flip-flops between $15 and $25 on a regular basis. For gift recipients with an addiction to icy cold drinks, this stein might make a great gift. It has a two-can capacity and a big ol’ handle, and the insulation keeps drinks cold for up to five hours and chilled for up to 20.
Whiskers should also be getting spoiled on Valentine’s Day. This window seat is one of our favorite cat accessories. It fits on most window sills with adhesive strips (or you can screw it in if you’re not renting), and it’s sturdy enough to hold even big cats while they bask in the afternoon sun.
The Fully Alani is an honorable mention in our Best Office Chairs guide only because it was a little pricier than our top pick and didn’t offer much more. At this discount, it’s a great option if you’re looking to upgrade your seat without spending a fortune.
We like Osprey products in general. This bag is lightweight and sturdy. It’s especially nice for hiking or quick day trips. (I use a similar bag while visiting garage sales and outdoor markets.) This bag is made with recycled materials and has all sorts of pockets for handy organization. Check out our Best Backpacks guide for additional picks.
