David Beckham sneaks out of stadium by hopping fence, wading bushes after watching son’s Brentford debut
David Beckham found himself in a unique situation on Tuesday night as he was in attendance to watch his son Romeo make his Brentfort B debut. Romeo arrived to the London club on loan from Inter Miami II earlier this month, which is co-owned by his father. The 20-year-old came off the bench in the second half in the friendly clash against ninth tier club Erith & Belvedere, which Brentford won 3-2.
Beckham was present among the 500-plus spectators in attendance but what caught eyes was his bizarre getaway from the venue. In order to save him from the endless selfie and autograph requests, the former England captain escaped the situation by first climbing out of the stand, following which he jumped over the fence before wading through some bushes.
Although no videos of the scene were found, but photos of Beckham sneaking out were widely shared by fans on social media.
The match saw Erith & Belverdere take a lead in the third minute after kick-off, before Brentford squared things. However, Erith & Belverdere once again restored their one-goal advantage and Romeo was introduced in the game as a second half substitute.
He didn’t take long to make his impact felt as he whipped in a dangerous cross shortly after his introduction. He also came close to scoring himself with the head.

Brentford then found a late equaliser in the 87th minute and then went to score the winning goal in the five minutes additional time after the official 90 minutes.
Romeo arrives at Brentford after a solid outing with Inter Miami II, where he scored two goals and provided 10 assists in 20 appearances. He was training with the London club for the past few months and penned a contract during the January transfer window. It is also being reported that Romeo will soon return to US as Miami will be starting their new MLS campaign next month.
