Fujifilm India has announced two new lenses — FUJINON XF56mm F1.2 R WR” (XF56mm F1.2 R WR) and XF30mmF2.8 R LM WR Macro — for its mirrorless cameras. Both lenses will be a new addition to the lineup of interchangeable XF lenses designed for the X Series of mirrorless digital cameras.
XF56mm F1.2 R WR: Features and more
The XF56mm F1.2 R WR is a fast prime lens with a mid-telephoto focal length of 56mm (equivalent to 85mm in the 35mm format). It succeeds the popular F1.2 open aperture of its predecessor FUJINON Lens XF56mmF1.2 R. The lens features significant improvement in minimum focusing distance of 50 cm, image-resolving performance and rendering of out-of-focus background.
The company claims that the new lens has improved minimum focusing distance to facilitate table-top photography, and can also cater to a wide variety of shooting situations including street photography.
XF30mmF2.8 R LM WR Macro: Features and more
The XF30mmF2.8 R LM WR Macro is a standard prime lens with a focal length of 30mm (equivalent to 46mm in the 35mm film format). Compared to conventional standard lenses, this product has a substantially-reduced minimum working distance of 3.9 inches and greatly-improved close-up performance, capable of macro photography at a 1:1 magnification ratio.
The ability to shoot dynamic true 1:1 macro photography means users can enjoy tabletop photography of going up close and personal to a subject in front of them in limited space, as well as a wide range of categories including portraiture and snapshots that take advantage of natural perspectives.
Price and availability
The Fujifilm XF56mmF1.2 R WR is priced at Rs 1,04,999 and XF30mmF2.8 R Macro is priced at Rs 61,999. Both lenses will be available at Fujifilm-authorized retailers.
