Officials announced that passengers carrying a 5G-enabled smartphone with 5G SIM cards could experience this at the Domestic Departure pier and International Arrival Baggage area at Terminal 3 – and from T3 Arrivals to Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP). 5G network services in India would offer you:

  • Faster network
  • Better signal strength
  • Negligible latency
  • Seamless connectivity
  • Speedy data speed

Terminal 3’s 5G services deployment will get executed in a phased manner. At the moment, only a few TSPs received this new 5G network service to facilitate their customers, but others are likely to connect in the coming weeks.

Besides this, visitors to GMR Aerocity Delhi can experience the 5G network at GMR Square. A 5G network will provide passengers with data speeds that are 20 times faster speed compared to the current Wi-Fi technology or 50 times faster compared to the present mobile data communication network.

“Delhi Airport always remains ahead in bringing new-gen technologies to the passengers. To enhance their experience at the airport we have built our own 5G infrastructure. The 5G network offers a faster speed and lower latency,” said Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, DIAL CEO. (via)

“The 5G network offers a faster speed and lower latency. At the airport, this feature of the next-generation mobile technology will help improve connection density and will also lead to greater efficiencies and aid in faster decision-making,” he added.

To improve the customer experience, airlines and other airport stakeholders are also looking for fast, seamless, and secure connectivity for their arsenal.
