The carmaker has announced to showcase a concept EV, two new SUVs, and a variety of other vehicles to the public during the event.
With its impressive product lineup, Maruti Suzuki is currently India’s largest automaker and holds the majority of the market. At the Auto Expo, it will now display a total of 16 new cars, including a flex-fuel WagonR prototype, two brand-new SUVs, one EV concept, and customised variants of the Grand Vitara, XL6, Ciaz, Ertiga, Brezza, Baleno, and Swift, among other models.
Mr Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced, “Our showcases at the Auto Expo 2023 will highlight Maruti Suzuki’s commitment towards cleaner, greener, sustainable and carbon neutral offerings for tomorrow. While the two brand-new SUVs that will be unveiled at the expo will undoubtedly be the main attraction, Maruti Suzuki will also set up a technology zone where spectators can get a hands-on look at cutting-edge technologies like ADAS, V2X, Intelligent Electric Hybrid, Robotic Touchscreen Arm, and VR.
Speaking of the EV idea, it is believed that Maruti’s electric vehicle is still a ways off as the company doesn’t appear to have any immediate plans to make it commercially available. However, the manufacturer is anticipated to release its first electric vehicle at a price range under Rs 20 lakhs to compete against Tata Motors’ offerings.
