Camping and Outdoor Deals
Now’s the time to stock up on camp essentials. Backcountry is having a sale with both end-of-season deals on winter gear and plenty of deals on everything you’ll need when the weather warms up.
I have a smaller version of this, and it is one of the most comfortable packs I’ve ever worn. This version is a gear-swallowing monster; 65 liters should be able to take you down the trail for a week or more.
I’ve been testing camp chairs for quite some time, and while I like Helinox options better, they’re expensive. This ALPS Mountaineering chair is a fraction of the price and about the same, comfort-wise.
One of the best upgrades you can make to your camping experience is a good table. I have not tried this smaller model, but I love my slightly larger ALPS Mountaineering dining table, which is also on sale for $65 ($30 off). It’s solid, packs up small, and has enough room for a two-burner camp stove and plenty of prep space.
If your camping and backpacking adventures don’t take you into extreme cold, there’s no reason to lug around a huge sleeping bag. This one is perfect for summer backpacking, and the price is hard to beat. If you need something a little warmer, the Marmot Angel Fire (women’s 25-degree bag) is also on sale for $145 ($100 off). The price varies by color and size on both, so be sure to try different colors to get the best deal.
This lightweight, inexpensive rain jacket is a great option for day hikes and other light duty. The NanoPro membrane works well to keep you dry, though I’ve found that the DWR finish needs refreshing somewhat regularly to keep water beading up. See our guide to rewaterproofing your rain jacket for more on how to make sure your gear stays in good shape.
Hardware and Gaming Deals
Still too cold to even think about heading outdoors where you live? Here are some deals on indoor toys to make sure you don’t go stir crazy in the cold and snow.
This is a great deal on the brand-new Galaxy S22, which we love (9/10, WIRED Recommends). To get the deal, click the coupon.
When the S21 FE showed up earlier this year, we suggested waiting until the price dipped to $600 or less. It’s done that a few times, then gone up, and now it’s back at $600. It’s a good phone, though, and a pretty good deal at this price.
We’ve seen this one dip a little lower at times, but this is a solid deal on a highly customizable gaming mouse. Our favorite features are the side buttons, which can make quick work of copy and paste. There’s a desktop app that lets you control those functions, as well as set the LEDs to whatever color you like.
Asus ROG gaming laptops offer impressive performance at a surprisingly reasonable price. This model gets a Ryzen 9 chip (5000 series), RTX 3060 graphics card, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and a 1-terabyte SSD. The 14-inch screen might be slightly cramped for some, but the 144-Hz refresh rate should provide buttery smooth graphics.
Save a few bucks on one of the better Donkey Kong Country games in recent memory.
Home and Office Deals
The Fully Jarvis is our favorite standing desk. It can even be life-changing. You can adjust the height smoothly, and four presets mean other people in your home can easily use it. There are a ton of customizations to personalize it, and the bamboo top is eco-friendly. This deal is only about $20 above the price we saw at Black Friday last year. Some of the cheaper models are also on sale.
This wireless charger sounds like a late-night TV ad—it slices! It dices! In this case, it’s a Qi wireless charger that also has some sleep aid features, a wake-up light, and alarm clock, all in a handy little package that fits beside your bed.
This is a good deal on Roborock’s S7, though the new multidirectional rubber roller in the S7 is sometimes not as effective as older models like the S4, especially lifting dirt from low-pile carpet. See our robot vacuum guide for more options.
While we prefer Dyson’s stick vacuum cleaners, they aren’t cheap, and this Tineco is a decent option at this price. It’s lightweight, converts to handheld, and can go for 25 minutes between charges (10 minutes in Max mode).
This deal is only for Amazon Prime members, but if that’s you, here’s your chance to save a bit on one of our favorite mesh Wi-Fi systems. It’s simple to set up, the two-pack offers pretty good whole-house coverage (exact coverage will depend on the layout of your home), and the Eero system delivers stable connectivity.
We’re fans of Litter Robot’s litter box (8/10, WIRED Recommends) and some of the company’s other feline furniture. The Silo provides a covered space for your cat that’s designed to tuck in next to your couch.
Paramount+ is one of the few places to watch Star Trek, and the new season of Picard just started. You can subscribe monthly to the Essential plan, which then goes up to $5 per month, or opt for the Premium plan which goes to $10 a month afterward. Be sure to use the code BIRTHDAY. This deal expires March 7.
