Earth Day shouldn’t be a one-day celebration of the planet. Make April 22 a day to consider your impact on the world and how you can make permanent changes to your lifestyle to lessen your ecological footprint, even by a little. Whether you’re heading out into the great outdoors on a bike ride or staying indoors for overdue spring cleaning, check out these excellent deals on cycling accessories, vacuums, and more. Looking for more discounts? We rounded up some extras here earlier in the week.

Cycling for long periods of time or many days in a row can be a real pain in the rear. Literally. Most bikes come with uncomfortable seats from the factory, and even with the right seat, it’s easy to end up walking like a cowboy after a long ride. These shorts’ chamois padding adds a little extra cushioning where you need it most, and the polyester fabric wicks away sweat to keep you drier.
Rigging your bike to carry a decent amount of cargo typically involves spending big bucks on a not-easily-removable front basket or a rear pannier bag you have to remove and lug around to keep anyone from stealing it when you go indoors. The water-resistant Beyonder weighs only 1.5 pounds and has carry handles. When not in use, it folds up nearly flat.
MIPS stands for Multidirectional Impact Protection System. It consists of an inner shell that allows some sideways movement within the outer shell in the event of an impact, which adds to the brain’s protection from rotational injuries. Nutcase makes some of WIRED’s favorite helmets, due in part to their wide range of gorgeous shades and styles. The Vio (8/10, WIRED Recommends) lights up to make you more visible to others.
Don’t neglect your bike chain. Whether you’re riding an electric or a pedal-powered analog bike, you’ve got to clean that chain regularly to keep your bike working properly. I’ve used the Grunge Brush for years because its three-sided brush makes cleaning go by much more quickly than a typical brush.

Read our Best Reusable Water Bottles guide for other options.
Enter code EARTHDAY to see the discount at checkout (the code doesn’t work on sale items). Klean makes some of my favorite reusable beverage bottles, which is why I recommend them so heartily. Whether you’re aiming for an insulated model to keep your water icy all day or saving weight and bulk with a standard, non-insulated Classic, they all have a tough, stainless steel build and chip- and scratch-resistant coating that I haven’t damaged in years of use.
Another favorite from my Best Reusable Water Bottles guide, the Hydro Flask comes with perhaps the toughest powder-coating finish I’ve come across. Every time I drop mine on pavement or a sidewalk and think I’ve finally managed to dent it, I pick it up without even a scratch.
The finish isn’t as tough as a Klean Kanteen or Hydro Flask, and the triple-walled construction is mostly just a marketing gimmick, but I still recommend S’well bottles because of the wide variety of designs. If you need a bottle for the gym or the office desk, it’s more than up to the task.
Give single-use bottles and cans the boot. Make carbonated water and soft drinks at home with your own water and the included reusable bottle to cut down on your environmental footprint, while still enjoying an occasional treat. You can set the amount of carbonation to one of three levels with the push of a button. Replaceable carbon dioxide cylinders provide the bubbles.
Vacuum and Home Deals
Clip the coupon on the page to see the discount. WIRED senior associate reviews editor Adrienne So called the Q5+ (9/10, WIRED Recommends) the best overall robot vacuum in our guide. After years of testing robot vacs with complicated apps, she appreciated the simple, intuitive Roborock app. Not only is the robot’s navigational accuracy spot on, but it can map multiple floors and even discern between different types of flooring.
Sick of coming home expecting a clean house only to find mostly unvacuumed floors and an indignant robot vacuum beeping at you that its dustbin is full and needs emptying? Snag this iRobot i4+ Evo with an automatic emptying feature. When the bot senses its dustbin is full, it returns to the base, offloads its dirt to it, and then resumes its job. Use it through the iRobot app or give it voice commands through Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
The X8 Hybrid’s standout feature is that it has two turbines, unlike most robot vacuums. Each turbine generates up to 2,000 Pa of suction energy, which means the X8 Hybrid can suck up almost twice as much dirt, debris, and pet hair in each pass. That’s why we called it the best robot vacuum for sucking up stubborn pet hair and dander that tends to get stuck in carpet fibers.
This refurbished model comes straight from Dyson’s official eBay store. The V11 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) model is a few years old and has been supplanted by newer stick vacuums, but it’s an excellent choice for many homes and still among the best on the market. In Eco mode, the V11 gives you about an hour of cordless vacuuming, and as with all of Dyson’s stick vacs, you can detach the long nozzle to turn it into a compact, nimble hand vac.
Stasher bags are a WIRED favorite because they easily replace wasteful ziplock bags. Just wash and reuse them to continuously store just about anything. Right now, every bag on the website is on sale. We suggest starting with a couple gallon and quart bags.
