Winter is coming, and since you’ll be spending more time indoors, now’s a great time to upgrade your TV, speaker system, or computer. If you’re going to be staring at screens, they might as well be nice ones. We’ve rounded up some great deals on them, and we also found discounted Bluetooth speakers, tablets, and more.

Home Theater and Speaker Deals

TCL 6-Series

We’re huge fans of the TCL 6-Series (9/10, WIRED Recommends), which has ranked as our best TV for most people for multiple generations. At this price, it’s an excellent buy for a 65-inch screen, with mini-LED backlighting and quantum dots for bright, flashy colors. This deal is also available at Best Buy. (Note: WIRED is giving away an 8K version of this TV! The giveaway ends on September 30.)

If you want the most epic gaming monitor around, then you can snag this and save some cash too. This 48-inch OLED has perfect black levels, a super fast refresh rate, and a built-in smart TV interface for when you’re not playing Fortnite in 4K. This deal is also available at Newegg, and the retailer is throwing in a free $100 Visa gift card and four-year protection plan.

This Samsung TV (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is excellent for living rooms that get too much sunlight (or are usually just bright). That’s because the TV itself gets really bright, so you won’t have too many issues with glare. It’s easy to set up, has all the apps you’d want out of the box, and pairs well with Samsung phones for some extra perks. It even has a 120-Hz screen refresh rate for gaming.

There is a newer model available, which likely explains why these speakers are discounted right now. That doesn’t stop the LSX from being an astonishing pair of hi-fi speakers. They’ll fill your room with high-fidelity tunes, and you can connect to them via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.

Everyone can use a decent Bluetooth speaker, and Sony makes some of our favorites. This one comes with 16 hours of battery life, and an IP67 water- and dust-resistance rating means you can take it with you to the beach or the pool with no fear.

Definitive Technology makes some excellent premium speaker systems, and though this model with five speakers is from 2019, it is still cutting-edge in terms of sound. You get four surrounds, a center channel, and a subwoofer for deep bass—everything you need for a full home theater experience in one package, minus a receiver.

Apple and Home Office Deals

Apple Macbook Pro

The M1 is a seriously powerful chip for most laptop users, easily enabling you to edit pictures or music in between trips to class or the office. This one is a couple hundred dollars off its usual list price, owing to the fact that it has slightly older specs. It’s still more than capable and will serve you well for many years to come.

Last year’s 14-inch MacBook Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) delivers a nicer screen than the 2020 Macbook Pro above, and it has double the RAM. The M1 Pro chip inside it has a good deal more power too. The Liquid Retina XDR display means movies and games will look prettier, and the newer speakers in this model really slap when listening without headphones.

This streaming device (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is the best way for iPhone owners to easily stream their favorite movies and shows to their TVs, not to mention access any of a number of the top streaming apps in high resolution. I like how simple the interface is, with an easy-to-use remote and decent voice search on board. This deal has been running since the start of August.

iPad Air

I love my iPad Air (8/10, WIRED Recommends). It’s easily powerful enough for running music-making apps on the go, and I even occasionally use it to pen some of these articles in Google Docs when I’m offline and struck with inspiration. This deal is on the 256-GB model, so it’s only a good deal if you want to have lots of built-in storage.

We like Blue microphones for their nice designs and great performance during work calls and podcasts. This one comes in a nifty blue colorway, and it’s the Nano version, so it’s easy to hide away or bring with you when you’re not recording. This deal is also available at B&H.

The Nest Hub (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is something I’ve found extremely useful in my office, where I use it to remind me of meetings. It’s good for setting timers and checking the weather, which makes it solid for kitchens and bedrooms too. Plus, you can ask Google Assistant just about anything, like if your dog can eat something with onions in it. (The answer is no!)
